Junior High School Girls 2024/25 Season Achievements
The theme for our team this season was “Toughness”. According to Jay Bilas, “Toughness has nothing to do with size, physical strength or athleticism…toughness is a skill, and it is a skill that can be developed and improved.” Throughout our season, we played teams that had noticeable size and strength advantages. Despite these shortcomings, we finished the year with 17 wins and 10 losses overall, 9 wins and 3 losses against homeschool programs, and 8 wins and 5 losses against private schools. Our team began the year with one 11-year-old, two 12-year-olds, three 13-year-olds, and two 14-year-olds available to play and one 13-year-old on the injured list. On the season, we averaged over 31 points per game while holding our opponents to a 26-point average. By the end of the year, this team was exhausting the other teams with their toughness and provided many exciting moments for their fans.
